Security of your personal information
One of the most important aspects of security is protecting your personal and banking information. Unlike a credit card, you never disclose any personal or banking information to open a CyBux™ Account.
When you make an online payment using your CyBux™ Account, you authorize us to electronically transfer money from your CyBux Account to the school’s or merchant’s Account. Because your personal and banking information is never disclosed in the first place, it can never be compromised.

Security of money in CyBux™ Accounts
When you transfer money into your CyBux™ Account, it goes directly from your financial institution to a special “trust” Account at our financial institution.
Money on deposit in this special “trust” Account has important usage restrictions; for example, we cannot borrow against it, we cannot use it as collateral, it is not available for general corporate purposes, etc.

Security of CyBux™ transactions
Another important aspect of security is the integrity of data transmitted over the Internet.
With CyBux™, all payment transactions utilize secure socket layer (SSL) technology with 128 bit data encryption behind state-of-the-art commercial “firewalls”.
In lay terms, all of this means that transaction data is protected at levels equal to or better than most financial institutions.

Security of the CyBux™ database
Our database and web servers are physically located in a highly secure facility where several banks also locate their servers.
Beyond physical access security, the facility also provides environmental security that includes air conditioning, fire suppression, uninterruptible power supply (with independent generator backup), and earthquake dampening.
Together, all of these security measures ensure that the CyBux transaction processing system is highly reliable.
