Using a CyBux™ Account to make online payments is fast, easy and secure.

To get started, all you have to do is open a CyBux™ Account, activate it (one-time only), and then transfer money to it from your existing bank or credit union.

Now you can make online payments in complete privacy, and with total security. It’s just that easy!

Open a new CyBux™ Account
Opening a new CyBux™ Account is done through schools and/or merchants that accept online payments from CyBux™ Accounts.

Just go to the school’s or merchant’s website, click a hotlink entitled “Open a New CyBux™ Account” (or similar phrase), enter a valid email address, and click the “Send me a CyBux™ Account number” button.

Within moments a new CyBux™ Account number and a one use activation code will be emailed to you.

(Note: If your school or favourite merchant does not accept online payments from CyBux™ Accounts, consider sending them an email requesting that they do.)

Activate a new CyBux™ Account
Activating your new CyBux™ Account is a simple online 3 step process that you only do once.

Just follow the instructions that came with your new CyBux™ Account number.

Step 1 — Enter your Account number, activation code, and create your secret PIN;
Step 2 — Create your own online user name and provide an email address; and
Step 3 — Create your own security question and answer, and acknowledge the CyBux™ Cardholder Agreement.

That’s it! Your CyBux™ Account is now active.

Transfer money into a CyBux™ Account
Transferring money to your CyBux™ Account is as easy as paying your phone or utility bill, because CyBux™ is registered as a “payee” at all major banks and most credit unions in Canada.

First, and one time only, you must establish CyBux™ as a personal payee. Procedures may vary from one financial institution to another, so if you’re unsure, please contact your own financial institution. Usually, establishing CyBux™ as a personal payee through telephone or online banking will also automatically set it up for ABM (automated banking machine) use.

Once you’ve established CyBux™ as a personal payee, you can use any of four methods to transfer money to your CyBux™ Account:

• in person at a teller
• at any or your bank's ABMs
• via telephone banking, or
• online banking

(Note: Your financial institution governs when money transferred to your CyBux™ Account will be available; however, in general, money transferred into your CyBux™ Account before midnight on one day, will be available to you after 3:00 PM the next business day.)

(Note: If your financial institution does not list CyBux™ as a payee, please email us at bill.payments@CyBux™.net with the name of your financial institution and a request to have it added.)

Make online payments with a CyBux™ Account
Using your CyBux™ Account to make online payments is fast and easy, completely private, and totally secure.

At the school’s or merchant’s website, select the items you wish to purchase, and choose CyBux™ as your preferred method of payment. At a SECURE section of this website, you enter your CyBux™ Account number and secret PIN to authorize payment. Finally, you’re transferred back to the school’s or merchant’s website where the transaction is completed.

That’s it! No risk of using a credit card online; completely private; totally secure.

(Note: If your favourite school or merchant does not accept online payments from CyBux™ Accounts, consider sending them an email asking them to do so.)

View CyBux™ Account transactions
At any time, and from any Internet connection, you can view and/or print a list of transactions to/from your CyBux™ Account.

Go to the “Accounts” section of this website, sign in by entering your CyBux™ Account number and secret PIN, click the “CyBux™ Account History” link, and then simply follow any instructions.

Manage your CyBux™ Account
At any time, and from any Internet connection, you can manage your CyBux™ Account profile. This allows you to change your secret PIN or email address.

Go to the “Accounts” section of this website, sign in by entering your CyBux™ Account number and secret PIN, click the feature link to manage your Account, and then simply follow any instructions.
